It's the little irritants on the tube which add up to making people thinking the service isn't all isn't cracked up to be.
Like the seemingly random locking off of the gateways to the Jubilee Line from Waterloo - the reason being, overcrowding on the platform. Overcrowding by whom?
OK, I accept the fact that locking off the gates means that trains can come and go and there will be fewer passengers on the platform than before. But NO-ONE? I think this is a clear case of something else going on that people don't like to admit to.
Maybe it's a plague of run away weevils that have be cleared up by the team from Torchwood (OK, I know it's not Cardiff). Or a very, very short wildcat strike. Or maybe the fat controller has farted in a very powerful and eye-watering way.
My favourite is that the platforms just appear overcrowded, because every so often the ghost of anyone who has ever travelled by tube comes back to check on whether the service has improved. If Boris wins next week there'd be no point ever coming back because we know what the answer would be.
